I am currently Lecturer in Philosophy at both Oriel College and St. Hilda's College, Oxford. Last year, I was Departmental Lecturer in Philosophy of Mind at the Faculty of Philosophy. I have previously held positions at Exeter College, Oxford; on the BUMP project at King's College London and Southampton; at the Centre for Philosophical Psychology, Antwerp; and at The Queen's College, Oxford. I received my PhD in Philosophy from University College London, the BPhil in Philosophy from Oxford, and a BA in Philosophy from King's College London.

My research interests are primarily in metaphysics and philosophy of mind, but extend to issues in epistemology, philosophy of biology, philosophy of logic & language and philosophical methodology. My current research focuses primarily on the nature of human beings and the human mind, investigating several interconnected issues concerning our persistence, our awareness of the past, our awareness of our own minds, our agency and freedom, and our capacities to refer in thought to particular objects and events.
